Lewis picks up a new side snare…
word Written by Dennis on November 12, 2008 – 5:00 pm

The band, not the person.  Jarrod from the local band Lewis came to pickup his new 12″x7″ side snare.  Featuring the rare Green Onyx wrap inlayed into a solid high-gloss black, complimented by Black-Nickel plated hardware.  Sounds amazing tuned up nice and high, great blend of attack and body.

14″x7″ Maple/Acrylic Hybrid
word Written by Dennis on November 11, 2008 – 11:56 am

This was a unique build featuring Flat Black powder coated hardware, Ruby Red acrylic, Hot Rod flat-black paint on the maple sections, and diecast hoops. Topped of with a Dunnett strainer and 42-strand imported snare wires, this drum sounds every bit as good as it looks.

30-Ply Hybrid Chamber finds a home in Kentucky…
word Written by Dennis on July 31, 2008 – 3:59 pm

This sweet work of art is a 30-ply Hybrid-Chamber snare.  The bearing edges are made of 30-plies of Maple, with a solid 10-ply inner core and a hybrid acrylic outer core.  The result is a 1/4″ air chamber between the clear acrylic and the hand painted copper design on the inner shell.  Beautiful drum that has a lot of attack and a clean/crisp sound.  We’re sure the new owner is more then happy!  Hybrid-Chamber snares are being built on a one-off basis right now, and pricing won’t be available on our website due to the unique nature of these builds.  E-mail Info@StaufferPercussion with your specifications if you’d like a quote on one of these snares.

And a reminder for those that haven’t checked out our calendar, August 4th through the 8th is our annual summer shut-down.  Even the Phattie crew needs a break from time to time.
